A snippet of conversation from the Stadler household, after I'd done something nice for Julia:
Julia: Thanks, dear! You're so sensitive!
Todd: Baby, I'm beyond sensitive ... I'm freakin' sore to the touch!

"Mere seconds (thanks to the magic of RSS readers!) after posting this entry, Julia complained that I had gotten this all backwards — it was she who had said the "sore to the touch" bit.
So let me just state here for the record that Julia is the comic genius in the family. A fact that has been painfully to both of my faithful readers for some time."

"Why, Cockahoop hasn't seen this kind of vigorous repartee since back in ought-two! It's too bad that what is prompting it is Julia's and my sitting at the dinner table, each with our laptops open, and carrying on a conversation half by talking and half by commenting on my blog.
